A portrait of a woman yawning.
A video film consists of 25 frames per second (in Europe). The take of the yawn was edited into stills, five frames forward, two frames back. When divided into sequences where each movement is shown separated and where each sequence starts with half of the last, something happens. The face suddenly shows a series of emotions that are separated from the context, meaning the yawn, is significant for other emotions than boredom or tiredness. As the yawn reaches it's peak, it stiffens into a silent and violent scream.
