A woman (personified by the artist) is talking about a thing she has had in her possession that now is gone.
The plastic thing had a picture of the famous Norwegian football player Ole Gunnar Solskjær (Manchester United) on it. The object would make her feel confident in any social situation, make her handle the world; she felt safe as long as she had the plastic thing in her pocket. The artist is picturing the magic any "Thing" can possess if only you let it, or in some cases, the other way around; if you cannot avoid it. When the thing is gone so is the woman’s self-esteem. She will have to find another way out. And she does.
