This video was made for a project space exhibition at The Astrup Fearnley Museum in Oslo in 1998. The series of five exhibitions was called "Five young artists in dialogue with Kitaj".
Kitaj was preoccupied with the persecution of the Jews during World War Two and the danger of forgetting this trauma of European history.
In 1998 the Astrup Fearnley collection represented significantly few women. You Ignore Me was made as a sound piece as well as a video installation. The voice of the woman in the video, angrily screaming, louder and louder; "You Ignore Me", would follow the viewer through the Kitaj paintings throughout the museum.
